Live Music with Anna Westbrook
LIVE MUSIC
Anna Westbrook has performed live at public and private events in Austin, Texas since moving here in 2016. She usually sings and accompanies herself on piano or guitar. Her performances also include public speaking as her goal is to use her music to tell stories and lead discussions on mental health. Local venues she has performed at include The W Hotel, the Carpenter Hotel, The University of Texas, St. Edward’s University, Hill Elementary School, Armstrong Community Music School, The Dougherty Arts Center, The Austin Rotary Club, Stepping Stone Preschool, Space 24, House Wine, and Kickbutt Coffee. Anna started her career in live music in 2012 in New London, Connecticut and moved to Austin after earning a B.A. in Music Composition from Connecticut College in 2016.

RECORDING
Anna is currently working on a new solo folk album called Nervous Systems. Prior to this project, her recording experience was musical - theater focused. In 2019, she received a grant from The City of Austin to record an album of the music from her original musical, Isabel and the Runaway Train. She is the composer behind all eleven songs on the Isabel album, and is the featured vocalist on three of those songs.
